PKZIP for DOS
Compress files on your legacy DOS system
PKZIP has been providing industry-leading ZIP compression for DOS systems for many years. You may still purchase version PKZIP 2.5 (released in 1999) for the DOS platform and Windows 95 and earlier to reduce hard disk, floppy disk, and CD storage consumption.

Use PKZIP for DOS to:
- Script pkzip, pkunzip, and pksfx functions with the command line syntax or use with batch files on your older desktop PC
- Support Long File Names (LFNs) - Windows 95 only
- Backup your entire hard disk with PKZIP for DOS' ability to produce a zip archive with up to 16,000 files storage
- Span large zip archives across multiple floppy diskettes without having to format disks ahead of time
