It includes new support for new Microsoft® Office® 2007 formats, both using Microsoft® Word as an editor and TagEditor. Additional filters for binary PPT, XLIFF and RegEx have been added to supplement its already comprehensive file handling capabilities.

Integration with the simultaneously launched SDL MultiTerm 2007 provides powerful terminology lookup and search functions to ensure adherence to corporate terminology and dramatically reduce translation time.

Existing and new translations can be more easily reviewed and cleansed using the enhanced batch-mode QA checking in SDL Trados 2007.

New built-in translation and terminology checks have been added and any number of user-defined checks can be set up to search for particular quality criteria. FILE FORMAT COMPATIBILITY

SDL Trados 2007 enables you to translate virtually any file format including: Microsoft Office 2000, Office XP, Office 2003(Word, PowerPoint and Excel),and Office 2007. Clipboard Content, QuarkXPress 6.x, Adobe FrameMaker 7, Adobe InDesign CS (InDesign 3.x), Adobe PageMaker 6.5, Adobe Interleaf, HTML, SGML, and XML. Compliant with Translation Memory exchange (TMX) level 2. Translation Memories created in SDL Trados 2006 cannot be opened in earlier versions of Translator's Workbench. Translation Memories created in TRADOS 6.5 and earlier can be opened by version 7.5 of Translator's Workbench.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

• SDL Trados 2007 runs on Windows 2000 and Windows XP Home, Windows XP Professional, and Windows 2003 Server. Windows XP, Windows 2000 are recommended for optimum performance.
• SDL Trados 2007 Freelance is designed to work in a single user environment and thus only one instance can run on a network at any one time. SDL Trados 2007 Professional is required in order to share translation memories on internal networks (LAN) and provide multiple users the ability to simultaneously work on a network and have access to the same translation memories.
• PC with Pentium II or compatible processor (Pentium III or higher recommended).
• 256 MB RAM (512 MB recommended) on Windows 2000/Windows XP Home/Windows XP Professional.
