In June 2003 HeapAgent 7 for Win32 was released. This version of HeapAgent is
designed for compatibility with the Microsoft .NET dev environment. Specifically,
it supports unmanaged C/C++ projects. HeapAgent
7 also maintains compatibility with earlier versions of Visual C++, as well as
supporting Borland C++ and Borland C++ Builder.
New in HeapAgent 6
Callstacks in browsers are now visible: data browsers row are now multi-line,
with one callstack entry per
line. Browser rows are now sized according to the number of callers for that
row when "show callstack" is checked. Browser rows are also now resizable
with the mouse
since they are multi-line.
HeapAgent browser data can be exported to a tab-delimited text file which
can then be opened in another program (typically, a spreadsheet). This
feature is accessed thru the new 'Export' option in the File menu.
Data can be copied from the HeapAgent browsers and pasted into another
application. This feature is accessed thru the 'Copy'/'Paste' options in
the Edit menu
The stack checking feature has been removed, since it is no longer supported
(incompatible with VC6)
Patching of GlobalAlloc/LocalAlloc/HeapAlloc is now off by default
The default suppressions list has been updated for current CRT & MFC,
including release CRT/MFC (default suppressionsp reviously only included
leakage in debug CRT/MFC)
